Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival

A night of exciting outdoor films from around the world, at the Hope Cinema. See the “best of the fest,” spanning mountain climbing, skiing, paddling, biking and many other mountain topics.

Time: 7 p.m.  Doors open: 6:30 p.m.  Come early for best seating!
Tickets: $10 advance, $12 at door

Mountain unicycling pioneer Kris Holm rides urban obstacles and the famously difficult trails of North Vancouver.


Where the Trail Ends  (Canada, 2012, 7 min, dir. Jeremy Grant)
A film following the world’s top freeride mountain bikers as they search for untraveled terrain around the globe.


Outside The Box  (Germany, 2012, 16 min, dir. Stephanie Brockhaus)
European bouldering specialists Anna Stohr and Juliane Wurm come to Utah to learn how to crack climb with the legendary Lynn Hill.


Groundswell  (USA/Canada, 2012, 25 min, dir. Chris Malloy)
This is the story of a group of surfers who set sail along the pristine British Columbia learning about an oil-pipeline proposal that threatens to change this area forever.
