About the event

Help us raise funds to support the important work of Hope Mountain Centre’s Hope Mountain Black Bear Committee! (HMBBC)!

Join us on Friday November 8th from 7pm - 10pm at Mountainview Brewing.

No need to register for this event - just show up! All ages welcome.

The Hope Mountain Black Bear Committee works to reduce negative human-bear encounters through education, advocacy, training and wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. We promote and support the preservation of bears and other wildlife, and the peaceful co-existence between wildlife and community residents through:

- working with Conservation Officer Service as an authorized partner to rescue abandoned bear cubs that would otherwise perish

- educational Bear Aware presentations to school and special interest groups and at community events

- public education via garbage bin decals and pamphlets

- hosting bear spray use training sessions

- advocate to municipalities to use bear-resistant garbage, recycling and compost bins

- canvass neighbourhoods for bear attractants

Learn all about bears and more about all the great work the HMBBC gets up to, test yourself at the evening's trail trivia all about bears, win some cash at the 50-50, bid on great silent auction items, and more! Music, games, food specials, friends - it's going to be a great night! Cash and credit cards accepted.

Sign up your trivia team in advance to secure your table by paying the $20 team registration fee  (donated to HMBBC) at the brewery, or take your chances to wait to do it at the event if space permits. Not interested in trivia? No problem! There's a ton of other fun stuff going on.

Hope to see you there!

HUGE THANK YOU to Mountainview Brewing for hosting and for their generous donations.

Thank you also to the wonderful donors of the silent auctions items up for bid:

[will be added as donations are received]
